McDonald Creek below Mount Cannon

McDonald Creek winds its way below Mount Cannon on its way to the lake that shares its name. Like my old playground in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, quiet rivers that slowly move through alpine forests, stir a love for nature within my soul. Rivers as a literary symbol of life being a part of my experience, I always find myself most at peace on their banks. GNP's creeks and streams play their part with grace and wonder. The whole of Glacier National Park is an American treasure, unique to the world. May it forever be part of our heritage.
